Advertising Banners

EnaCast includes an advertising banner system that lets you display ads on your website. Banners are organized into groups, and the system automatically tracks impressions and clicks so you can evaluate their performance.

A banner group is a container that holds multiple ads displayed in the same position on your website. When a group is shown on a page, one of its banners is selected using weighted random selection (based on each banner’s impression weight).

Each banner is a single ad within a group. It contains an image, a destination link, and a weight setting that determines how frequently it appears compared to other banners in the group.

  1. Log in to the EnaCast admin panel
  2. Go to the Banners or Advertising section
  3. Click Create banner group
  4. Enter a descriptive title (e.g., “Main sidebar” or “Header banner”)
  5. Make sure the group is enabled
  6. Save the group
  1. Inside the banner group, click Add banner
  2. Fill in the fields:
    • Title: internal name of the banner (e.g., “Summer 2024 campaign”)
    • Description (optional): notes about the ad
    • Link: the URL the user will be directed to when clicking
    • Main image: the banner image in landscape format (recommended: minimum 728x90 px for standard banners)
    • Square image (optional): a square version for positions that require it
    • Impression weight: a number indicating the relative probability of appearance. A banner with weight 2 will appear twice as often as one with weight 1
    • Enabled: activate or deactivate the banner without deleting it
  3. Save the banner

EnaCast automatically records metrics for each banner:

You can see statistics for each individual banner as well as a summary report for the entire group with total impressions, clicks, and overall CTR.

To make banners appear on your website, you need to add a banner module to a modular page:

  1. Go to the Modular pages section
  2. Edit the page where you want to show the banner
  3. Add a Banner group module
  4. Select the banner group you want to display
  5. Save the page

The banner will be displayed at the position on the page where you placed the module.

  • Use optimized images: heavy banners slow down page loading
  • Always include a link: a banner without a link generates no interaction
  • Review statistics regularly: if a banner has a very low CTR, consider changing the image or message
  • Disable expired banners: instead of deleting them, disable them to preserve historical statistics
  • Use weights thoughtfully: assign more weight to banners from priority campaigns

Yes, you can add multiple banner modules at different positions on the same modular page.

Yes, banners adapt to the screen size. If you have uploaded a square image, it will be used in views that require it.

Currently there is no built-in date-based scheduling. You can manually enable and disable banners as needed.
