YouTube and Vimeo Videos

EnaCast lets you manage an integrated video library on your station’s website. You can add videos from YouTube and Vimeo, organize them with tags, and display them on your site’s pages.

Adding a Video

Go to the management panel at studio.enacast.com
In the side menu, under Media, open Videos
Click New Video
Fill in the fields:
- Video link: the full YouTube or Vimeo video URL; a Preview appears below it
- Video name: the video title
- Description (optional): a short description of the content
- Order: a number to control the display order
- Featured until (optional): the date the video stops being featured
- Featured video: enable this option if you want the video to appear first
- Tags (optional): click one or more tags to categorize the video. This field only appears once you have created at least one tag

Supported Platforms

Video Tags

Just like news articles, videos can be organized with tags. Video tags are separate from news tags and let you create specific categories for your video library.

For example, you could create tags like:

Interviews
Reports
Live
Music clips

Creating a Video Tag

On the Videos page, click Tags: the YouTube Tags page opens
Click New Tag
Enter the Title, the Slug (URL identifier) and, optionally, a Description and an Order
Click Create

On the Videos page, the All tags dropdown filters the list by tag.

Featuring a Video

You can mark a video as a Featured video so it appears at the top of the list; its card shows a Featured badge. Additionally, with Featured until you can set an end date: once that date is reached, the video automatically stops being featured.

This is useful for highlighting important content for a limited time, such as a special interview or event coverage. The list’s All videos filter lets you show only Featured or Not featured videos.

Playback Statistics

EnaCast records the play count for each video. You can see it on each video’s card in the list (views), next to its order, to find out which videos generate the most interest from your audience.

Displaying Videos on Your Website

Videos can be shown on your website in two ways:

YouTube Module in Modular Pages

When editing a modular page, click Add module and choose YouTube. Under Type you pick where the videos come from:

Type	Description
YouTube channel	Shows the latest videos from a YouTube channel
YouTube playlist	Shows videos from a YouTube playlist
Single video	Displays a single embedded video
Managed videos (from Ramen)	Shows the videos added on the EnaCast Studio Videos page, optionally filtered by tag with Filter by tag (optional)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Add Videos From Other Platforms?

Currently only YouTube and Vimeo are supported. If you need to embed videos from other platforms, you can do so using a custom page module with the HTML embed code.

Does the Channel Module Update Automatically?

Yes, when using the “Channel” or “Playlist” type, videos are fetched directly from YouTube and updated automatically.

Can I Control How Many Videos Are Displayed?

Yes, when configuring the YouTube module you can set the number of videos in Videos to display.
