Image Gallery

EnaCast includes an image gallery module that lets you organize your station’s photos into albums, tag them, and display them on your public website.

Note

The gallery is not the Image Library, another page of the side menu, where the images of news, episodes, people and regular sections are kept. There, the Origin filter (Person photo, Regular section image) and the Used in filter (Used in people, Used in regular sections) find the images of people and sections.

Albums

Albums are the main organizational unit of the gallery. Each album groups a set of images under a title and description.

Creating an Album

1. Open the gallery: go to the management panel at studio.enacast.com and, in the side menu, under Media, open Gallery

2. Click “New Album”

3. Fill in the album details:

   • Album Title: the album name (required)
   • Slug: the URL identifier; it is generated automatically from the title
   • Description: descriptive text shown alongside the album
   • Weight: the album’s position in the list; lower numbers appear first
   • Publish album: tick it if you want the album to be visible on the website
   • Show in footer: tick it if you want the album to appear in the website footer

4. Click Create

Visibility

Each album has a Publish album checkbox that controls whether it is visible on the public website:

• Published: the album and its photos are shown in the gallery section of the website
• Unpublished: the album is only visible in EnaCast Studio, useful for preparing content before publishing

In the album list, an eye icon shows whether each album is published, and the Include unpublished switch shows or hides the ones that are not.

Uploading Images

Once the album is created, you can upload images:

1. Open the album you want to add photos to: click its card or View Album

2. Click “Upload Pictures” or drag files directly onto the album

3. Select the images you want to upload (you can select several at once). Each image is uploaded with its file name as the caption

4. Change the caption if needed: hover over the image, click the pencil icon (Edit), type the Caption and click Save

Batch Upload

You can select multiple images at once to upload them all in one go. This is especially useful when you have a complete photo report. Each image can be up to 15 MB; larger ones are skipped and the rest are still uploaded.

Reordering Images

Images within an album are displayed in an order you can customize:

• Click Reorder, drag the images to their new position and click Done when you finish
• Each image has a Weight (a number) that determines its position in the list; images with a lower weight appear first. You can also change it in Edit Picture

Note

The new order is saved every time you drop an image and usually shows on the public website within a minute.

Tags

Tags let you organize and filter albums and images:

• You can create custom tags (e.g., “Interviews”, “Events”, “Studio”)
• In the album list, each card shows the album’s tags
• On the public website, visitors can filter the gallery by tags

Creating a Tag

1. On the Gallery page, click Manage Tags
2. Click New Tag and fill in the Tag Title, the Slug (URL identifier) and, optionally, the Description and Order
3. Click Create

Caution

EnaCast Studio does not yet let you assign tags to albums or images. If you need to tag an album, write to support@enacast.com.

Display Templates

The gallery can be integrated into your website pages with two different formats:

Template	Description
Grid	Shows images in a thumbnail grid. Ideal for albums with many photos
Carousel / Slides	Shows images in a sliding carousel. Ideal for featuring a few images

The template is chosen when adding a Gallery module to a modular page: there you pick the Album, the Display type and the Photos to display.

Managing Existing Albums

From the album list you can:

• Edit the title, slug, description and weight with each card’s Edit button
• Change visibility (publish or unpublish) with the Publish album checkbox in the same form
• Delete an album and all its images with the bin icon

Inside an album, View on website opens the album on the public website, and Select lets you mark several images (or Select All) to delete them at once with Delete.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Image Formats Are Accepted?

The most common formats are accepted: JPEG, PNG, and WebP.

Is There a Limit on Images per Album?

There is no strict limit, but we recommend not exceeding 200 images per album to maintain a good loading experience on the website.

Are Images Automatically Resized?

Yes. EnaCast automatically generates different thumbnail sizes to optimize website loading, without modifying the original image.
