Custom Domains

EnaCast lets you use a custom domain (for example, www.yourstation.com) for your station’s public website, instead of using the default EnaCast address.

By default, your station’s website is accessible at an address like yourstation.enacast.com. With a custom domain, you can make the same website accessible from your own domain, for example www.yourstation.com.

This gives you:

  • Professional image: your brand appears directly in the browser address bar
  • Better SEO: search engines index your own domain
  • Free SSL certificate: EnaCast automatically generates an HTTPS certificate for your domain

Before setting up your custom domain, you need:

  1. To own the domain you want to use (purchased from a domain registrar)
  2. Access to the DNS panel of your domain provider to create records
  3. Administrator role in your EnaCast station
  1. Go to your station settings in the EnaCast administration panel

  2. Enter your domain in the “Custom domain” field (for example, www.yourstation.com)

  3. Create a CNAME record in your domain provider’s DNS panel:

    TypeNameValue
    CNAMEwwwcname.vercel-dns.com
  4. Wait for DNS propagation, which can take from a few minutes up to 48 hours depending on your provider

  5. Verify that the domain works by visiting https://www.yourstation.com

Once the CNAME record points correctly, EnaCast automatically generates an SSL certificate for your domain. This means:

  • Your website will be accessible securely via HTTPS
  • You don’t need to purchase or configure any certificate
  • The certificate renews automatically

To verify that your domain is correctly configured:

  1. Visit https://www.yourstation.com in your browser
  2. Verify that the secure connection padlock (HTTPS) appears
  3. Confirm that your station’s website is displayed

If the domain doesn’t work after 48 hours, check:

  • That the CNAME record is correctly created in your DNS panel
  • That there are no other records (such as an A record) for the same subdomain that might conflict
  • That the domain entered in EnaCast matches exactly with the CNAME record

You can change your custom domain at any time from the station settings. When you change or remove the domain:

  • The website becomes accessible only from the default EnaCast address
  • The old domain will stop working
  • If you set up a new domain, a new SSL certificate will be generated automatically

It’s possible, but not all DNS providers allow creating a CNAME record on the root domain. If your provider supports it (some call it “CNAME flattening” or “ALIAS”), you can use it. When in doubt, always use www.yourdomain.com.

The default EnaCast address continues to work even if you have a custom domain. Both links are valid.

No. EnaCast hosts your website automatically. You only need to own the domain and configure the CNAME record.
