AI Tools in the Editor
EnaCast includes a set of artificial intelligence tools built directly into the news editor. These tools let you work faster with your texts without leaving the editor.
Available Tools
Section titled “Available Tools”From the news editor, you can access the AI tools through the AI commands menu. The tools are available when you select a text fragment or work with the news content.
Summarize
Section titled “Summarize”Condenses a long text into a shorter version, keeping the main ideas.
- Minimum text: 50 characters
- Result: a summary of up to 100 words by default
- Useful for: creating short versions of lengthy news articles or generating summaries for social media
Expand
Section titled “Expand”Adds more details and context to a brief or outline text.
- Minimum text: 10 characters
- Result: a more developed version of the original text, with 2-3 additional paragraphs
- Useful for: turning quick notes into more complete texts
Generate Headlines
Section titled “Generate Headlines”Creates up to 10 headline variations from the news content, with different styles:
- SEO optimized (with keywords)
- Question format
- Numbered or list format
- Emotional or impactful
- Neutral and formal
Translate
Section titled “Translate”Translates the selected text between supported languages: Catalan, Spanish, and English.
- Select the source and target language
- The translation maintains the journalistic tone and structure of the original text
- All combinations between Catalan, Spanish, and English are available
Proofread
Section titled “Proofread”Reviews and corrects grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
- Minimum text: 10 characters
- Result: the corrected text with errors fixed, keeping the original style
- Useful for: a quick review before publishing
Change Tone
Section titled “Change Tone”Rewrites the text with a different tone:
- Formal: more professional, using more elevated and distant language
- Informal: more approachable and conversational, using more accessible language
Generate Lead Paragraph
Section titled “Generate Lead Paragraph”Creates an opening paragraph (lead) from the news body.
- Minimum text: 100 characters
- Result: a 40 to 60 word paragraph that answers the fundamental questions: who, what, when, where, and why
- Useful for: quickly generating the summary that appears in listings and previews
Extract Quote
Section titled “Extract Quote”Selects the most relevant and impactful quote from the text.
- Minimum text: 50 characters
- Result: the most informative sentence, formatted as a featured quote with author attribution if identified
Extract Episode Quotes
Section titled “Extract Episode Quotes”Extracts notable quotes from a podcast episode transcript, including information about who is speaking and at what point in the audio.
- Minimum text: 100 characters
- Result: up to 10 quotes with the speaker’s name and exact timestamps
- Useful for: creating articles from interviews or highlighting important phrases from a show
How to Use the Tools
Section titled “How to Use the Tools”-
Open a news article in the editor

Select the text you want to apply the tool to (or work with the full content, depending on the tool)

Open the AI menu by clicking the AI tools button

Choose the tool you need

Wait for the result — you’ll see a loading indicator while it processes

Review and apply the generated text
Result Language
Section titled “Result Language”The tools generate results in the language configured for your station. For example, if your station is set to Catalan, summaries and lead paragraphs will be generated in Catalan.
For translations, you can freely choose the source and target language from those available (Catalan, Spanish, and English).
Common Errors
Section titled “Common Errors”| Error | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Text is too short | Does not reach the required minimum characters | Select a longer fragment |
| No result generated | Temporary AI service error | Try again in a few seconds |
| Result is not accurate | The AI didn’t capture the context well | Provide a more detailed text or rephrase |
