Custom Navigation Menus
Custom menus in EnaCast let you create tailored navigation bars for your website. You can add links to custom pages, modular pages, and external URLs, and control the order and visibility of each item.
What Is a Custom Menu?
Section titled “What Is a Custom Menu?”A custom menu is a navigation bar that appears on your website and contains the links you choose. You can create multiple menus, and each one is displayed in the position you assign.
Each menu can contain three types of items:

Creating a Menu
Section titled “Creating a Menu”- Log in to the EnaCast admin panel
- Go to the Custom menus section
- Click Create menu
- Fill in the fields:
- Title: the menu name (may be visible to visitors or internal only, depending on your website design)
- Order: a number that controls the menu’s position relative to other menus
- Enabled: activate the menu to make it visible on your website
- Visible on mobile: enable this option if you want the menu to show on mobile devices
- Save the menu
Adding Items to the Menu
Section titled “Adding Items to the Menu”Once the menu is created, you can add items to it:
Link to a Custom Page
Section titled “Link to a Custom Page”- Inside the menu, click Add custom page item
- Select the custom page you want to link to
- Enter the item title (the text visitors will see in the menu)
- Set the item order within the menu
- Indicate whether it should be visible on mobile
- Save the item
Link to a Modular Page
Section titled “Link to a Modular Page”- Inside the menu, click Add modular page item
- Select the modular page you want to link to
- Enter the item title
- Set the order and mobile visibility
- Save the item
External Link
Section titled “External Link”- Inside the menu, click Add external link
- Enter the URL of the external link
- Enter the item title
- Set the order and mobile visibility
- Save the item
Reordering Items
Section titled “Reordering Items”Each menu item has an order field that controls its position from left to right (or top to bottom on mobile). Items with a lower number appear first.
Mobile Visibility
Section titled “Mobile Visibility”Both the menu itself and each individual item have a mobile visibility option. This lets you:
- Create menus that only show on desktop
- Hide specific items on the mobile version to simplify navigation
- Have items that only appear on mobile
Multiple Menus
Section titled “Multiple Menus”You can create multiple menus for your website. Each menu has its own order and will appear in its assigned position. This is useful if you want to separate the main navigation from secondary menus.

Section titled “How Many Menus Can I Create?”There is no strict limit. You can create as many menus as you need.
Can I Add the Same Link to Multiple Menus?
Section titled “Can I Add the Same Link to Multiple Menus?”Yes, you can add the same page or link to different menus.
Do Menus Update Automatically When I Create New Pages?
Section titled “Do Menus Update Automatically When I Create New Pages?”No, menus are manual. When you create a new page, you need to add it to the corresponding menu if you want it to appear in the navigation.
Do External Links Open in a New Tab?
Section titled “Do External Links Open in a New Tab?”It depends on your website design. In most configurations, external links open in a new browser tab.
