Modular Pages

Modular pages are one of EnaCast’s most powerful features. They let you create custom pages by combining different content modules that stack vertically. You can use a modular page as your website’s homepage or as themed landing pages.

A modular page is a page composed of content blocks (modules) that you can add, reorder, and configure individually. Each module displays a different type of content:

ModuleDescription
EpisodesShows the latest episodes from a show or from the entire station
NewsShows the latest news, optionally filtered by tag
Image galleryShows a photo gallery
YouTube videosShows videos from a channel, playlist, or managed videos
Custom pageInserts the content of an existing custom page
Ad bannersShows a banner group
EventsShows upcoming events from the calendar
IframeInserts external content via an iframe
  1. Log in to the EnaCast admin panel
  2. Go to the Modular pages section
  3. Click Create modular page
  4. Fill in the basic fields:
    • Name: the page title
    • Slug (friendly URL): the page address on your website
    • Cover image (optional): a header image for the page
    • Homepage: enable this option if you want this to be your website’s main page
    • Enabled: activate the page to make it visible
  5. Save the page

Once the page is created, you can add modules from the admin panel:

  1. Open the modular page you want to edit
  2. Select the module type you want to add
  3. Configure the module (select the show, tag, banner group, etc.)
  4. Set the module’s order (a number that determines its vertical position on the page)
  5. Indicate whether you want it shown on desktop, mobile, or both
  6. Save the module

Each module has an order field that controls its position on the page. Modules with a lower number appear higher up.

The episodes module shows the latest published episodes. You can configure:

  • Show: select a specific show or leave it empty to display episodes from all shows
  • Show tag (optional): filter episodes by tag
  • Number of episodes: how many episodes to display
  • Template: the visual design of the module

The news module shows the latest published news articles. You can configure:

  • Tag: filter by a specific news tag, or show all
  • Number of articles: how many articles to display
  • Template: simple list, medium card, or large card
  • Orientation: vertical or horizontal

Just like custom pages, modular pages can show a link in the footer of your website:

  1. Edit the modular page
  2. Enable Show link in footer
  3. Set the link position
  4. Save the changes

To set a modular page as your website’s homepage:

  1. Edit the modular page you want to use as the homepage
  2. Enable the Homepage option
  3. Save the changes

The homepage is the first thing visitors see when they access your website.
