Format and size
- Format: MP3
- Maximum size: 200 MB
- The system will automatically calculate the episode duration from the uploaded file
In addition to automatic recording, EnaCast allows you to create episodes manually by uploading an audio file. This is useful when you have external recordings, pre-recorded interviews, or content that does not come from a live broadcast.
Format and size
When creating an episode manually, you can configure the following information:
Select the show the episode belongs to. The episode will inherit the show’s settings (default image, transcription level, tags, etc.).
You can upload a specific cover image for the episode. If you do not upload one, the show’s default image will be used.
When creating an episode, you can choose when it gets published:
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Draft | The episode is saved but not visible to listeners. You can edit and publish it later |
| Publish now | The episode is published immediately and will be available on the website and RSS feed |
| Schedule | Select a future date and time. The episode will be published automatically at that time |
Once uploaded, the episode goes through the same automatic processing as live-recorded episodes:
Currently only the MP3 format is supported. If your audio is in another format (WAV, FLAC, AAC…), you will need to convert it to MP3 before uploading.
The system will reject the file. If your recording is very long, you can split it into parts or reduce the MP3 quality to decrease the file size.
Yes, once published, the episode will appear in the show’s RSS feed just like any automatically recorded episode.
Yes, you can edit the title, description, image, and trim the audio from the admin panel, just like any other episode.
