Users and Permissions

EnaCast allows you to create multiple users for each station, with different access levels based on their role. Each user logs into the administration panel with their own credentials.

There are two main roles in each station:

RoleDescriptionPermissions
AdministratorFull station managementAll permissions: station settings, user management, programs, news, streaming, and analytics
Program editorEditing of assigned programsEdit episodes, trim audio, create news, and manage content for programs they have access to

If your station belongs to a station group, there is a third special role:

  • Group administrator: has administration access to all stations in the group, not just their own

This role is useful for stations that share technical or editorial infrastructure.

  1. Access the administration panel with an administrator account

  2. Go to the users section in the administration menu

  3. Create a new user by entering:

    • Username
    • Email address
    • Temporary password
  4. Assign the role: check the “Station administrator” box if they should have full access, or leave it unchecked for editor access

  5. Assign the programs the user will have access to (editors only)

  6. Save the changes

An editor user can only work with programs that have been explicitly assigned to them. To assign programs:

  1. Edit the editor user’s profile
  2. In the “Program access” field, select the programs they should be able to edit
  3. Save the changes

The user will see only the assigned programs in their panel, along with the corresponding episodes.

When a user no longer needs access to the station, you can deactivate them:

  1. Edit the user’s profile
  2. Uncheck the “Active” box
  3. Save the changes

An administrator can change the user’s password from the administration panel. The “Forgot my password” option on the login screen can also be used if the user has an email address configured.
