Users and Permissions
EnaCast allows you to create multiple users for each station, with different access levels based on their role. Each user logs into the administration panel with their own credentials.
User Roles
Section titled “User Roles”There are two main roles in each station:

| Administrator | Full station management | All permissions: station settings, user management, programs, news, streaming, and analytics |
| Program editor | Editing of assigned programs | Edit episodes, trim audio, create news, and manage content for programs they have access to |
Group Administrator
Section titled “Group Administrator”If your station belongs to a station group, there is a third special role:
- Group administrator: has administration access to all stations in the group, not just their own
This role is useful for stations that share technical or editorial infrastructure.
Inviting a New User
Section titled “Inviting a New User”-
Access the administration panel with an administrator account

Go to the users section in the administration menu

Create a new user by entering:
- Username
- Email address
- Temporary password

Assign the role: check the “Station administrator” box if they should have full access, or leave it unchecked for editor access

Assign the programs the user will have access to (editors only)

Save the changes
Assigning Programs to an Editor
Section titled “Assigning Programs to an Editor”An editor user can only work with programs that have been explicitly assigned to them. To assign programs:
- Edit the editor user’s profile
- In the “Program access” field, select the programs they should be able to edit
- Save the changes
The user will see only the assigned programs in their panel, along with the corresponding episodes.
Deactivating a User
Section titled “Deactivating a User”When a user no longer needs access to the station, you can deactivate them:
- Edit the user’s profile
- Uncheck the “Active” box
- Save the changes

Frequently Asked Questions
Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions”How Many Users Can I Create?
Section titled “How Many Users Can I Create?”There is no fixed user limit per station. You can create as many as you need.
Can an Editor Create New Programs?
Section titled “Can an Editor Create New Programs?”No. Only administrators can create new programs. Editors can edit episodes and content for the programs assigned to them.
What Happens if a User Forgets Their Password?
Section titled “What Happens if a User Forgets Their Password?”An administrator can change the user’s password from the administration panel. The “Forgot my password” option on the login screen can also be used if the user has an email address configured.
