YouTube and Vimeo Videos

EnaCast lets you manage an integrated video library on your station’s website. You can add videos from YouTube and Vimeo, organize them with tags, and display them on your site’s pages.

  1. Log in to the EnaCast admin panel
  2. Go to the Videos section
  3. Click Add video
  4. Fill in the fields:
    • Name: the video title
    • Description (optional): a short description of the content
    • Video URL: the full YouTube or Vimeo video URL
    • Tags (optional): select one or more tags to categorize the video
    • Order: a number to control the display order
    • Pin to top: enable this option if you want the video to always appear first
  5. Save the video
PlatformAccepted URL Formats
YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=..., https://youtu.be/...
Vimeohttps://vimeo.com/...

Just like news articles, videos can be organized with tags. Video tags are separate from news tags and let you create specific categories for your video library.

For example, you could create tags like:

  • Interviews
  • Reports
  • Live
  • Music clips
  1. In the Videos section, go to Video tags
  2. Click Create tag
  3. Enter the name, slug (URL identifier), and optionally a description
  4. Save the tag

You can pin a video so it always appears at the top of the list. Additionally, you can set a pin expiration date: once that date is reached, the video will be automatically unpinned.

This is useful for highlighting important content for a limited time, such as a special interview or event coverage.

EnaCast records the play count for each video. You can view this information from the admin panel to see which videos generate the most interest from your audience.

Videos can be shown on your website in two ways:

When creating or editing a modular page, you can add a YouTube module that displays videos from different sources:

Source TypeDescription
ChannelShows the latest videos from a YouTube channel
PlaylistShows videos from a YouTube playlist
Single videoDisplays a single embedded video
Managed videosShows videos manually added in the EnaCast videos section, optionally filtered by tag

Currently only YouTube and Vimeo are supported. If you need to embed videos from other platforms, you can do so using a custom page module with the HTML embed code.

Does the Channel Module Update Automatically?
