News Management

EnaCast includes a news module that lets you publish articles on your station’s website. You can create news manually, schedule publication, pin articles to the front page, and organize content with tags.

  1. Go to the news panel from the administration sidebar menu.

  2. Write the headline — the main title of the article. It should be clear and descriptive (up to 240 characters).

  3. Write the body of the article using the rich text editor. You can include formatting, links, and images.

  4. Add a main image (optional but recommended). EnaCast automatically generates different cropped versions for the front page, social media, and previews.

  5. Assign tags to categorize the article. You can select existing tags or create new ones.

  6. Save the article as a draft or publish it directly.

News articles have three possible states:

StateDescription
DraftNot visible to readers. You can edit it at your own pace
ScheduledWill be published automatically on the date and time you set
PublishedVisible on the station’s website

To schedule an article, set the desired publication date and time. The article will be published automatically when that moment arrives, with no manual intervention needed.

You can pin an article so it always appears at the top of the news list, regardless of its publication date.

  • Enable the “Pin” option on the article page
  • Optionally, set an expiration date so the article is automatically unpinned when it’s no longer relevant

Tags let you organize news articles by topic. Each tag has:

  • A title visible to readers
  • A slug (URL identifier) generated automatically
  • An optional cover image
  • Its own RSS feed, so readers can subscribe to a specific topic

Readers can filter news by tag on the public website.

Each article can have a main image used as:

  • Article cover in the news list
  • Social media sharing image (Open Graph format)
  • Thumbnail in previews

If your station has the Pro plan, EnaCast automatically generates a sub-headline for each published article using artificial intelligence. This sub-headline complements the main headline with additional information extracted from the article body.

The AI-generated sub-headline is only shown if you haven’t written a manual one. You can edit or replace it at any time.

News articles are automatically published to an RSS feed that readers can subscribe to. Additionally, each tag has its own RSS feed, allowing readers to follow only the topics they’re interested in.
