Custom Pages
Custom pages in EnaCast let you create pages with free-form content on your website. They are ideal for static information that does not change frequently, such as “About us”, legal notices, privacy policies, or contact information.
What Is a Custom Page?
Section titled “What Is a Custom Page?”A custom page is a web page with a title and a free-form text body that you write using the rich text editor. Each page has its own friendly URL (slug) and can appear in navigation menus or in the footer.
Creating a Custom Page
Section titled “Creating a Custom Page”- Log in to the EnaCast admin panel
- Go to the Custom pages section
- Click Create page
- Fill in the fields:
- Title: the page name visitors will see
- Slug (friendly URL): automatically generated from the title. You can modify it if you want a shorter or more specific URL
- Content: write the content using the rich text editor (you can include images, links, videos, and episode players)
- Configure the visibility options (see next section)
- Save the page
Page URL
Section titled “Page URL”Each custom page has its own URL based on its slug. For example, if the slug is legal-notice, the page will be accessible at:
https://yourstation.enacast.com/page/legal-noticeFooter Link
Section titled “Footer Link”You can make a custom page appear as a link in the footer of your website. This is especially useful for legal or informational pages that should always be accessible.
To enable the footer link:
- Edit the custom page
- Enable the Show link in footer option
- Set the link position (a number that determines the order relative to other footer links)
- Save the changes
Navigation Menu Link
Section titled “Navigation Menu Link”In addition to the footer, you can add a custom page to a custom navigation menu on your website. See the Custom menus guide for more details.
Module in Modular Pages
Section titled “Module in Modular Pages”Custom pages can also be inserted as a module within a modular page. This lets you combine custom page content with other modules (episodes, news, videos, etc.) on the same page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions”Can I Have Multiple Custom Pages?
Section titled “Can I Have Multiple Custom Pages?”Yes, you can create as many pages as you need. There is no limit.
Are Custom Pages Indexed by Search Engines?
Section titled “Are Custom Pages Indexed by Search Engines?”Custom pages are indexable by search engines, so they can appear in Google and other search results.
Can I Change the Slug After Creating the Page?
Section titled “Can I Change the Slug After Creating the Page?”Yes, you can modify the slug at any time. Keep in mind that changing the slug will change the page URL, which may break existing links.
Does the Content Support Rich Formatting?
Section titled “Does the Content Support Rich Formatting?”Yes, you can use all rich text editor features: bold, italic, images, lists, links, YouTube videos, and embedded episode players.
